Institutional Development Officer
As Institutional Development Officer, Stephanee oversees the development of foundation, corporate, and government support for Fair Food Network’s mission and programs and is responsible for building strong and sustainable relationships with Fair Food Network’s institutional funders.
Stephanee has over 14 years of experience in non-profit development, with a focus on foundation/government partnerships and fundraising. She previously worked for MHP Salud, a non-profit organization focused on providing health education and advocacy for migrant farmworkers; this is where she was first exposed to broken food systems and developed a passion for food justice. For the past 11 years, Stephanee has served as the head of institutional partnerships and fundraising for the Sphinx Organization, an arts & social justice non-profit dedicated to the mission of advancing diversity, equity, & inclusion in the performing arts. In her role as Sphinx’s Director of Institutional Partnerships, she helped to support and leverage the organization’s growth, tripling the size of the institutional partnership’s portfolio and increasing foundation/government support by 195% during her tenure.
Stephanee received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and it is her continued goal to be a lifelong learner. She is a Michigan native who loves pretty much everything about her home state, including its unpredictable weather and all four seasons. She is known among her friends for her eclectic taste and expansive knowledge of pop music; one of her greatest joys in life is creating playlists for every occasion.
