Omari Taylor
Director of Development
As Director of Development, Omari leads Fair Food Network’s fundraising strategy in pursuit of its mission to grow community health and wealth through food. He manages donor relationships, expands major gifts, and develops engagement opportunities that connect supporters to the organization’s work. Omari works closely with staff and partners to strengthen core revenue streams while diversifying funding through new philanthropic opportunities.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and brand strategy, with leadership roles at New City Kids, Life Remodeled, Gleaners Community Food Bank, Neighborhood Service Organization, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Over the course of his career, Omari has launched multi-million-dollar campaigns, built cross-sector partnerships, and developed award-winning fundraising initiatives. A proud graduate of Leadership Detroit and an International Ford Fellowship alumnus, he is passionate about advancing equity, opportunity, and community transformation.
Omari lives in Farmington Hills with his wife, their four children, and their Giant Schnauzer, Bella. He enjoys cooking and hosting dinners, traveling, spending time with family, and serving in the music ministry at his church, where he helps lead worship.
