Owner Belinda Beard turned her mother’s legendary egg rolls into Egg Roll Diva, a catering business and one of metro Detroit’s most well-known food trucks. Beard started her business shortly before the COVID pandemic. Despite the many obstacles, her business thrived. She fulfilled private catering requests and purchased a food truck—quickly becoming one of the most well-known food trucks in metro Detroit. She participated in Michigan Good Food Fund’s Food Finance Essentials, a multi-week training course led by our team to prepare entrepreneurs for financing. Afterward, she received accounting support from Aura Advisory Services.

Fair Food Fund provided Egg Roll Diva with a line of credit to alleviate high-interest debt, cover fees to attend summer festivals, and hire additional staff.
