FFN selected as a winner in Michigan Good Food Film Festival

March 9, 2011

The first annual Michigan Good Food Film Festival was the opening event for the 3rd Annual HomeGrown Local Food Summit that took place on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.

Hosted by Washtenaw Community College, Slow Food Huron Valley, the Food System Economic Partnership and Whole Foods Market, this film festival was an opportunity for students and community members to consider what good food means in Michigan, and to see the story of good food told through film.

Sixteen films were submitted for screening, including FFN’s Double Up Food Bucks short. Three media industry judges were on hand to judge the film entries, including filmmaker Chris Bedford, NPR host Jennifer White and chef and TV host Eric Villegas.

FFN is thrilled to have its Double Up Food Bucks short film selected as one of the winners!  Watch it  below.
