Program Coordinator at the Nutrition Incentive Hub

As Program Coordinator for the Nutrition Incentive Hub, Sofia provides general program support to the Nutrition Incentive Hub team and coordinates projects related to partner management, technical assistance, resource development, and communication.

Sofia’s previous work experience includes grassroots organizing around mutual aid for Black farmers, qualitative research to support food advocacy, and racial equity technical assistance for anti-hunger organizations. Inspired by a thriving Black food system in and around Atlanta, Sofia believes that collective sustainable food production is a great way to practice racial, social, economic, and environmental liberation.

Sofia is a first-generation Haitian American from Miami, Florida. She studied Anthropology, Human Biology, and African American Studies at Emory University and has a passion for food, public health, social justice, and research. Sofia is also passionate about all things self-care; her interests include hiking, yoga, gardening, and reading.
