
Nathan Medina
Senior Manager of State Policy
Nathan Luis Medina is Fair Food Network’s Senior Manager of State Policy, advocating for Michigan’s Double Up Food Bucks nutrition incentive program. Immediately prior to coming to Fair Food Network, he served as a policy specialist covering 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids & Farms, Michigan’s farm to school nutrition incentive program.
Nathan traces his roots to migrant laborers from Texas who found work in the GM foundries of Saginaw, Michigan. He is a Michigan State University alumnus where he graduated with a BA in Humanities in 2007.
During and after his time at MSU, Nathan developed an extensive legislative career, from working with State Representatives Carl M. Williams (D-Saginaw), John Espinoza (D-Croswell), and Erwin Oakes (D-Saginaw) to serving as policy analyst covering agricultural and natural resources policy for the House Democratic Caucus and as a lobbyist.
Nathan is an avid gardener, bicyclist, cook and music aficionado. He lives in Lansing with his wife and daughters.
