Hannah is energized by sustainability, community, and good design. As Fair Food Network’s Operations Assistant, Hannah supports day-to-day and long-term operations, working to maintain an efficient, forward-thinking workplace and strong employee culture.
Hannah has a diverse, farm-to-fork background in sustainable food systems – including an internship at an organic farm west of Seattle and a stint at Michelin-star restaurant in Washington, D.C.. She also fought food waste and hunger at the student-led nonprofit Food Recovery Network. In addition to time at the national office, Hannah co-founded a local Food Recovery Network chapter at the University of Michigan in 2012, which has since recovered thousands of pounds of food from campus dining halls.
Hannah has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan Program in the Environment, where she focused her on food systems design studying with leaders from Southeast Michigan to Cuba to better understand sustainable solutions to today’s most pressing food issues.
A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan Hannah is passionate about her home state and the Great Lakes region. After stints on the east and west coasts, she is thrilled to be back on the “third” coast—her favorite! Out of the office, you can find Hannah outdoors, cross-country skiing, hiking, stargazing, and continuing her agricultural education in the garden.
