
Dr. Sandra P. Daley, MD

Professor of Pediatrics, Emeritus
Dr. Daley is a professor of Pediatrics Emeritus and former Associate Chancellor Chief Diversity Officer at the University of California, San Diego. She and her team received The California Wellness Foundation Champion of Diversity Award for establishing a Housing and Urban Development funded Community/University Partnership Center and two programs that are now institutionalized and available to students at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine: PRIME-Health Equity – a MD/Masters program that prepares students to work with populations at risk for experiencing health disparities and the Conditional Acceptance Post-baccalaureate program – the first post-bac program in the University of California system that guarantees admission to medical school and that has a $2 Million dollar endowment.
Before joining the faculty at the school of medicine, she was the medical director and executive director of the Comprehensive Health Center, a community health clinic that serves low-income African American and Latino families in San Diego. She is an alumna of the Kellogg Foundation National Fellowship Program. Dr. Daley is of Hispanic/African heritage born in Panama.
