Novo Dia and Fair Food Network announce integration of Double Up Bucks and Mobile Market+

Novo Dia Group Partners with Fair Food Network to offer Loyalty solution to Farmers Market community

Austin, TX – August 1, 2013 – Novo Dia Group, Inc., a software development firm specializing in health and human services solutions, today announced an agreement with Fair Food Network that will add loyalty functionality to its Mobile Market+ product.  Now, on a single device, merchants can process EBT transactions and enrolled customers will automatically participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program managed by Fair Food Network.

Fair Food Network’s Double Up Food Bucks program matches SNAP federal food assistance dollars spent by customers at participating farmers markets. Customers can receive up to $20 in additional funds to spend only on locally grown produce, which not only encourages them to buy fresh healthy foods, but it also provides an economic boost for farmers as well.  “We're pleased to partner with Novo Dia to bring a full service smartphone offering to Farmer's Markets and other non-traditional retailers nationwide,” says FFN President and CEO Oran Hesterman. “ We believe the NDG solution is the next step in making healthy food incentive programs such as Double Up Food Bucks scalable – to benefit more families and farmers.”

The Mobile Market+ application, which was recently recognized as a finalist in the Verizon Innovation Awards, is a solution specifically developed to service merchants seeking a mobile smart phone POS.  The application operates on all iOS platforms and with the recent addition of Mobile Market+ – Select can now be used in all 50 states. The Mobile Market+ application is approved by Apple and USDA.

“Mobile Market+ is the only smart phone solution that can process all types of benefits cards, across all states with the same device.  The addition of an integrated loyalty solution will not only simplify what has been a cumbersome paper based process, but will also increase sales for the markets.  Loyalty customers will be able to enroll at the market, earn, and redeem their incentive dollars by using their existing EBT card,” explains Josh Wiles, president of Novo Dia Group.
