s'Cool Food
Works to empower school districts in Santa Barbara County to implement and sustain nourishing cook-from-scratch food programs through education and training opportunities for school communities, intensive culinary workshops, in-service training, ongoing professional development programs, food systems education for food service staff, funding for school equipment, hands-on cooking and gardening experiences for students, and development of local food distribution networks. An important resource for other regions, as documentation of best practices and a general road map are provided. A very local project with strong support of a local foundation.
